The tenth round of junior doctor strike action in England will take place from 7am on Saturday 24 February to 11.59pm on Wednesday 28 February. This will be a full walkout.

Progress was being made in talks but the Government failed to meet the deadline of 8 February to present a credible offer. In order to allow more time for negotiations to continue, we extended an offer to the Health Secretary to cancel this round of strikes before it was announced publicly if she agreed to extend the mandate for strike action for four weeks. Unfortunately she declined to do so leaving us no choice but to announce this final strike of our mandate.

Junior doctors should not attend any shifts starting after 6.59am on Saturday 24 February, and continue to strike all shifts that start and end on Wednesday 28 February. However, shifts that start on Wednesday 28 February and end on Thursday 29 February should be completed in full, including starting the shift on Wednesday 28 February.

There is a re-ballot of junior doctors open until March 20th on whether to mandate further industrial action.

Again? More blood on their deluded hands - anyone want to put a figure on how many they'll kill with this latest fools errand!

Sadly I'm now waiting for the usual buffoons to come on defending the doctors right to kill people in the pursuit of a fantasy pay award.

Still, at least the weather is improving for the above pictured 'front of house parties'.

I remember back in 2002/2003 the Firemen going on strike with the slogan "30K because we're worth it", at the time I believe their pay was around £21,500 and wanted a 40% pay rise to take them upto £30,000.
Googling shows they ended up with 16% over three years linked to changes to working conditions.
Competent fireman are on £36,000 now, took a while, but they got there....

Tony B-liar was the PM at the time..
