Liverpool Lost Link Judith Dresner 1960s sculpture
Judith Dresner
in my opinion probably the finest Liverpool artist
Ranks with Arthur Dooley, Brian burgess and Tom Murphy.
It is her work that should be in the Tate and winning the prizes this week

Now in her 80's this quiet reserved lady has never promoted her work. Her fantastic items of art have stayed not scene for over 30 to 40 years years. I have now recovered her work under dust in a cabinet in the back of her Liverpool garage. How excited I was when I first saw her work.
"The three Graces" was the first item I saw. Then " Shrapnel " Then I saw items of fantastic colour, styled on works from Japan. 19 items in all I found. She tells me that Arthur Dooley visited her back in the 1960's very interested in her working for him. As the Beatles was to the Liverpool music scene of the 1960's, this lady Judith Ann Dresser is to the Liverpool art scene of the same period.
I will be doing a story about this incredible lady.
